Star Trek: TNG U.S.S. Buran Filming Minature from "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II"

Below are some photos of a small and heavily distressed 12" x 8" x 4" starship filming model of the U.S.S. Buran that was used as part of the Starfleet defensive force against the Borg in the landmark TNG Season 4 premiere episode "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II" (first airdate: Sept. 24, 1990).  This model appeared alongside other Federation vessels in the impressive battle sequences featured in the episode; and was also used in some starship graveyard scenes in the series Star Trek: DS9.  It was created by production from a commercially available AMT model kit; and then heavily modified to exhibit battle damage.

This filming miniature was part of the collection of Star Trek VFX Supervisor Gary Hutzel, and was recently on display in the Tropical Room at the Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada during the Creation Official 2015 Star Trek Convention; where it was offered as Lot 4 in the Propworx Star Trek Auction VI event that took place live from the floor of the Rio on Sunday, August 9th.  It realized an impressive final sales price of $4,720 (including an 18% buyers premium).

Star Trek: DS9 Dominion Outpost Filming Miniature from "Once More Unto the Breach"

Below are some detailed images of a large 61" x 61" x 11" filming miniature, which features an approx. 39" diameter Dominion outpost structure surrounded by faux mountainous terrain intended to represent a portion of the planet Trelka V; that was screen used in the memorable 7th season Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Once More Unto the Breach" (first airdate: Nov. 11, 1998).  The outpost section is created from resin, vacuformed plastic and plastic sheeting and features a unique, semi-Cardassian design and paint scheme; while the planetary landscape region is composed primarily of dense foam.   Functional fiber optic lighting runs underneath the outpost model.

This filming miniature was part of the collection of Star Trek VFX Supervisor Gary Hutzel, and was recently on display in the Tropical Room at the Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada during the Creation Official 2015 Star Trek Convention; where it was offered as Lot 2 in the Propworx Star Trek Auction VI event that took place live from the floor of the Rio on Sunday, August 9th.  It realized a final sales price of $7,080 (including an 18% buyers premium).

Star Trek: DS9 Klingon D7 Battlecruiser Filming Miniature from "Trials and Tribble-ations"

Presented below are some detailed images of the 30" x 24" x 6" TOS-style Klingon D7 filming miniature that was screen used in the celebrated Deep Space Nine 5th season episode "Trials and Tribble-ations" (airdate: November 4, 1996); which was created as a special 30th anniversary tribute to the Original Series. "Trials and Tribble-ations" featured many highly enjoyable special effects scenes in which the DS9 actors were inserted into TOS footage from "The Trouble with Tribbles" episode and were seen to interact with the crew and the events of that Original Series adventure; while undertaking a time travel mission into their past.

This studio model was created for production by the celebrated model maker Greg Jein and features fiber optic lighting running through the main bridge and neck sections, with LED lights on the wing sections.  It was part of the filming model collection of Star Trek VFX Supervisor Gary Hutzel, and was recently on display in the Tropical Room at the Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada during the Creation Official 2015 Star Trek Convention; where it was offered as Lot 1 in the Propworx Star Trek Auction VI event that took place live from the floor of the Rio on Sunday, August 9th.   This miniature realized a very impressive final sales price of $30,680 (including an 18% buyers premium) and was the most expensive item in the auction.

Star Trek: DS9 Klingon Warrior Uniform

Presented below are some detailed images of a complete Klingon warrior uniform featured in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.   This costume was assembled from multiple screen used elements worn by different Klingons throughout the series; however, its main component - the top made of a heavy upholstery material - was used by actor Marc Worden in the role of Alexander Rozhenko (Commander Worf's son) during the 6th season episode "Sons and Daughters" (original airdate: Oct. 16, 1997).

This costume was recently on display in the Tropical Room at the Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada during the Creation Official 2015 Star Trek Convention and was offered as Lot 35 in the Propworx Star Trek Auction VI event that took place live from the floor of the Rio on Sunday, August 9th.
