Profiles In History - Sept. 29 - 30 & Oct. 1, 2015 - Hollywood Auction 74 - Star Trek Preview

On Thursday, October 1st at 11:00 am PST, Day 3 of Profiles In History's "Hollywood Auction 74" will commence at Profiles headquarters in Calabasas, CA. A total of 35 lots of Star Trek memorabilia will be featured in the sale; forming a very impressive offering of screen used and production related artifacts from across the franchise.

This auction is particularly strong in memorabilia from Star Trek: The Original Series, and some highlights of the material available from TOS include a Leonard Nimoy 2nd Season velour "Spock" tunic with impeccable provenance directly from the Star Trek Paramount offices in 1968; a DeForest Kelley 3rd Season "Dr. McCoy" complete Starfleet uniform consisting of a tunic with full braid and patch as well as a pair of vintage black and gold-specked duty trousers worn by Kelley; a William Shatner "Captain Kirk" wig worn in the 3rd season episode "The Paradise Syndrome"; a pair of George Takei Starfleet uniform pants worn as "Lt. Hikaru Sulu"; and a beautiful 1st Season Starfleet Silver tunic worn by Bruce Mars in his unforgettable role as "Finnegan" in the episode "Shore Leave", which is accompanied by a pair of "Bill Blackburn" worn uniform trousers.  The DeForest Kelley offering is the very first McCoy tunic ever handled by Profiles.

Other highlights from the more recent Star Trek television series and feature films include a William Shatner "Captain Kirk" EVA Space Suit from Star Trek: TMP; a Leonard Nimoy "Spock" Class A Starfleet Uniform from TMP; a LeVar Burton "Geordi" Hero Visor from Star Trek: TNG; and a Nimoy "Spock" Parka from J.J. Abrams Star Trek 2009.

Prop Store of London - September 2015 Live Auction - Star Trek Results

Presented below is the complete set of final prices realized for the 30 lots of Star Trek memorabilia that were offered in the Prop Store of London's Live Auction of "Treasures from the World of Film & Television"; which concluded earlier this afternoon at the ODEON BFI IMAX theatres in Waterloo, London, England.

The highest price witnessed for a Star Trek item in the sale was £37,500 (approx. US$ 57,375) for the Ambassador Class Starship filming miniature which served as the Enterprise C in the Star Trek: TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise".  Other highlights of the auction included the Star Trek: Voyager Chakotay EVA Suit which was also seen in ST: First Contact and which witnessed a high bid of £8,000 (approx. US$ 12,240); as well as the prototype Earth Spacedock model miniature from Star Trek: The Search for Spock which sold for a hammer price of £5,000 (approx. US$ 7,650).  Both the Original Series Spock uniform and the Original Series Uhura uniform did not sell.

The following values are the high bids witnessed on the items and do not include a 29% buyers premium (applicable for US Buyers).  (Note:  The current exchange rate, used to report the hammer prices above, is  £1 = US$ 1.53)

Prop Store of London - September 23, 2015 Live Auction - Star Trek Preview

On Wednesday, September 23rd at 2:00 pm GMT+1, Prop Store of London's "Treasures from the World of Film & Television" entertainment memorabilia auction will commence at the ODEON BFI IMAX theatres in Waterloo, London, England.  A total of 30 lots of Star Trek memorabilia will be featured in the sale; forming a very impressive offering of screen used and production related artifacts from across the franchise.

Highlights from TOS include a USS Enterprise Bridge Chair, a beautiful Nichelle Nichols 2nd season Lt. Uhura red Starfleet dress, and a complete Leonard Nimoy 2nd season Mr. Spock Starfleet uniform that includes the blue velour sciences tunic with full braid and badge as well as the black duty trousers with sewn-in velcro strips for the attachment of hand props.  

Other noteworthy items in this exciting event include the 43.5" x 25.5" x 16.25" Ambassador-class starship filming miniature that served as the Enterprise C in the highly memorable TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise" (as well as other Federation vessels in both TNG and DS9);  an attractive prototype model miniature of the Earth Spacedock from Star Trek: The Search for Spock; Robert Beltran's EVA Suit from Star Trek: Voyager; a rare set of Jeri Ryan Seven of Nine foam rubber eye and hand Borg makeup appliances; a Jolene Blalock brown and grey catsuit from Star Trek: Enterprise; and a life sized Porthos puppet with its accompanying Sickbay medical quarantine chamber that was used in the memorable Star Trek: Enterprise episode "A Night In Sickbay".
