Presented below are some detailed photos of a rare screen used crew crystal from the 2nd season Star Trek: The Original Series episode "By Any Other Name" (first airdate: Feb. 23, 1968). Ceti Eels from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Presented below are some detailed photos of a pair of Ceti Eel props used in the production of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982). The creatures were the only indigenous lifeforms of Ceti Alpha V known to have survived after Ceti Alpha VI exploded and sent Ceti Alpha V into a different orbit. They were featured in a highly memorable scene of The Wrath of Khan in which eel larvae was used by Khan Noonien Singh to facilitate mind control over his prisoners Commander Pavel Chekov and Captain Clark Terrell. Some film screenshots highlighting the eels are shown following the modern day images.
Many thanks to long time Star Trek fan and collector Paolo in Italy for his kind permission to display these photos.
