Star Trek: Discovery Starfleet Phaser Rifle

Presented below are some detailed photos of a screen used Starfleet Phaser Rifle from the new Star Trek: Discovery television series; which, in similar fashion to the new Phaser Pistol design, features an impressive appearance that pays tribute to the weapons of The Original Series by incorporating design elements from its TOS ancestors - in this case, namely the Laser Pistol from the 1st pilot "The Cage" as well as the imposing Phaser Rifle prop wielded by William Shatner in the 2nd pilot "Where No Man Has Gone Before".  This prop was part of a special Discovery-themed prop and costume exhibit at the recent Creation Official 2017 Star Trek Las Vegas Convention that took place from August 2 - 6 at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Nevada.  Star Trek: Discovery will make it's world premiere later this month on September 24th with a simultaneous broadcast on CBS television and the CBS All Access streaming video on demand service.  Subsequent episodes will be available only on CBS All Access ...
