Below are some detailed photos of a light green, long sleeved Starfleet uniform shirt that was screen worn by DeForest Kelley in his legendary role as Dr. Leonard McCoy. This style of shirt was introduced in the fifth Star Trek major motion picture The Final Frontier (1989) and was worn under the maroon jackets seen on Starfleet Officers. In Star Trek II through IV, sleeveless uniform shirts were utilized. This light green version is the rarest color in which these costumes were produced, and features trapunto quilting on the collar and cuffs as well as a full length zipper closure running down the middle of the back panel. Star Trek: The Experience TNG Captain's Chair Measurement Study
Presented below are many photos providing dimensional data on one of the Star Trek: The Next Generation Captain's Chairs that was formerly on display in the full scale Enterprise D Bridge recreation at the Star Trek: The Experience attraction in Nevada; which completed an 11 year run at the Las Vegas Hilton in September, 2008. While this chair was not screen used in the production of the television series; it was constructed by the Paramount studios prop department and likely is an accurate representation of the size of the screen used chairs. This replica presently stands approximately 41" in height to the top of the headrest, although it should be noted that the seat is resting on a special newly fashioned base that supports the bottom of the chair about 10.5" above the floor. On the Enterprise D bridge (at the Hilton and on the soundstage), the chair did not have legs which touched the floor but was affixed to a horizontal beam parallel to the floor which held it at a comfortable elevation. This Captain's Chair measures approx. 36" in length from the back of the headrest to the furthest leading edge of the armrest structures; and is approx. 33.75" wide at its widest point between the outside edges of its two armrests. It should also be noted that this chair did not come with its original LCARS armrest control panels from the Las Vegas exhibit; so a total of 4 small panels were created based on reference photos of screen used panels from the Enterprise D Captain's Chair seen in the feature film Star Trek VI: Generations (1994). An earlier photostudy on this site featured images of that chair; and may be seen at the following link: http://www.startrekpropauthority.com/2010/04/captain-picards-enterprise-d-command.html The fine text seen inside the buttons on the replacement LCARS panels photographed below should not be considered screen or exhibit accurate at all, though it was possible to identify and replicate some of the Generations button text. And now, the detailed dimensional photos ...
