Presented below are some detailed photos of a screen used Starfleet Phaser Pistol from the new Star Trek: Discovery television series; which features an impressive appearance that pays tribute to the weapons of The Original Series by incorporating design elements of both the Laser Pistol from the 1st TOS pilot "The Cage" as well as the familiar Type II Phaser Pistol seen throughout the regular season episodes of TOS. This prop was part of a special Discovery-themed prop and costume exhibit at the recent Creation Official 2017 Star Trek Las Vegas Convention that took place from August 2 - 6 at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Nevada. Star Trek: Discovery will make it's world premiere next month on September 24th with a simultaneous broadcast on CBS television and the CBS All Access streaming video on demand service.
