On Saturday, October 7th, 2023 at 11:00 am Pacific Time, the Manhattan Beach, California based auction house Studio Auctions will commence its inaugural Hollywood Treasures - Part 1 auction featuring live, online bidding available via its own website studioauctions.com as well as the icollector.com and liveauctioneers.com websites. This event features a total of 32 lots of memorabilia from the Star Trek franchise, of which 19 lots are Original Series related autographed posters and calendar pages signed by key cast members or guest stars - and several of these are highlighted by rare, lengthy inscriptions quoting episode dialogue handwritten by William Shatner. Additionally, an Original TOS Type-2 Phaser Pistol from the collection of Nichelle Nichols is offered as Lot #8; and a total of 9 lots from the collection of the Academy award nominated artist and renowned TOS expert/collector Greg Jein - including such items as an Original Series production clapperboard, a group of TOS U.S.S. Enterprise Bridge Buttons, and a set of Spock Ear Tips worn by Leonard Nimoy - will also be offered in the sale.
