Star Trek VIII - X U.S.S. Enterprise E Bridge Engineering Console

Presented below are some detailed photos of the U.S.S. Enterprise E Bridge Engineering Console, seen in its final screen-used configuration from Star Trek X: Nemesis (2002). This large set fixture measures approx. 66" x 47" x 18" and made earlier on-screen appearances in Star Trek VIII: First Contact (1996) as well as Star Trek IX: Insurrection (1998). The base and pedestal portions of this piece are constructed from sheet metal painted metallic bronze; while the computer interface unit at the top is made from shaped wood with inset acrylic LCARS panels at either end and a large partially clear acrylic panel at center. The transparent regions of the large central panel are meant to display live motion graphics that would have been playing on a pair of computer monitors previously mounted inside the console just beneath the panel. If one were to stand at the ships viewscreen and look towards the Captain's Chair, this console (typically manned by Lt. Cmdr. Geordi La Forge when on the Bridge) would be to the right of the Captain's Chair. An identical Tactical Console located on the left side was manned by Lt. Cmdr. Worf. Some screenshots from the feature films showing these consoles as well as some photos of the motion graphics from Worf's Tactical Console are visible following the modern day images...
