Star Trek: Phase II Sulu Command Tunic

Presented below are some detailed photos of Lot 5 from this Sunday's upcoming Propworx Star Trek Auction at the 2010 Creation Las Vegas Star Trek Convention - a Sulu Command Tunic that was constructed for the ill-fated Star Trek: Phase II television series project (Paramount, 1977); an endeavor initially intended as a follow up to Star Trek: The Original Series that ultimately transitioned into the highly anticipated Star Trek: The Motion Picture feature film of 1979. This costume bears the Phase II style hidden zipper assembly running along the left side that is characterized by nylon teeth (as opposed to the TOS metal "UNIQUE" brand zipper ). The fabric for this tunic is a double knit square weave pattern which was known to be present in the Desilu wardrobe stockroom during the 3rd season of TOS.
