Propworx August 9, 2015 Star Trek Auction VI Preview

In just 5 days, the last and most spectacular of Propworx's three Star Trek memorabilia auctions for 2015 will take place live from the Creation Official Star Trek Convention at the Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada; accompanied by a simultaneous live, online bidding session hosted through LiveAuctioneers.com.   As was the case for the February and May events, this sale will feature a spectacular array of costumes, props, artwork and production materials from across the franchise that are primarily drawn from the collections of Star Trek luminaries Gary Hutzel (VFX Supervisor), Joe Longo (Propmaster) and Ronald B. Moore (VFX Supervisor).   And just like the first two auctions, the Propworx Star Trek Auction VI will include an impressive offering of starship filming miniatures, the likes of which have not been made available to the public since the historic Christie's 40th Anniversary event in October, 2006.  What makes this particular auction stand out in comparison to the earlier Propworx sales held this year - aside from the exciting convention venue - is the presence of 170 total lots of memorabilia ... almost the same amount as Auctions IV & V combined!   The Art and Production materials offerings are particularly strong in this event, although the extensive filming miniature and costume collections will likely attract the greatest interest from visitors to the Convention who tour the pre-auction displays.

Presented below are the original auction catalog photos and descriptions for some of the highlights to be offered in this impressive August 9th event.  Readers are referred to the Propworx website http://www.propworx.com/ for all the latest news on this years exciting auction activities, where a copy of the August Auction VI catalog may also be downloaded in PDF format.  Interested bidders may register to participate in the sale directly on the LiveAuctioneers.com website at this link:
