Presented below are some reference photos of a screen worn TOS red female duty uniform - one of the iconic creations of Star Trek Original Series Costume Designer William Ware Theiss. This beautiful engineering dress was constructed of a velour fabric for the 1st or 2nd season of the series and features a front hidden zipper traversing the left side of the costume along the major seam line that bisects the gold starfleet insignia patch. The TOS female duty uniforms were the most elaborately constructed of all of the Starfleet costumes developed for the show.
