Presented below are some detailed photos of a pair of large floor panels, each measuring approx. 44" x 29" in size, that were created as part of the full scale Enterprise E Deflector Array set which was the location of a memorable space battle with the Borg in Star Trek: First Contact (1996). Following the modern day images are some screenshots that show the panels as they appeared in the film.

Humorous new Leonard Nimoy Commercial for Optik TV in Canada
A very entertaining television commercial that is filled with tributes to Nimoy's Spock character was recently launched in Canada to promote Optik TV's high definition, PVR, fibre optic network and satellite services. It is presented below.

Star Trek: Phase II Pistol Phaser (1977)
Presented below are some detailed photos of a working "hero" Type II pistol phaser constructed by prop maker Brad Nelson for the ill-fated Star Trek: Phase II television series project (Paramount, 1977); an endeavor initially intended as a follow up to Star Trek: The Original Series that ultimately transitioned into the highly anticipated Star Trek: The Motion Picture feature film of 1979. This elaborately constructed prop was composed primarily of aluminum with machined acrylic tip and gauges; and consisted of three main assemblies - the removable Type I hand phaser unit, the main Type II body, and the removable handle / energy pack.
