Presented below is the complete set of final prices realized for the 44
lots of Star Trek memorabilia that were offered in the Heritage July 16 - 18, 2021 Entertainment & Music Memorabilia Signature Auction #7241; which concluded yesterday in a live online
bidding session at the HeritageLive! (www.HA.com/Live) auction site.
The highest selling Star Trek item in the sale was Lot Number 89166, the historic, recently unveiled Star Trek: The Original Series "Hero" Type II Pistol Phaser,
which realized a final price of $250,000 (including a 25% buyers
premium), making it the second most expensive piece of Original Series memorabilia ever to sell at public auction. In June of 2002, the Captain's Chair from the TOS U.S.S. Enterprise Bridge set sold for $304,750 (including buyers premium, based on a high bid of $265,000) at the Profiles In History Bob Justman Star Trek Auction; and most recently, in April of 2013, Captain Kirk's Phaser Rifle from the 2nd TOS pilot "Where No Man Has Gone Before" sold for $231,000 (including buyers premium, based on a high bid of $192,500) at Julien's Hollywood Legends sale.
Some other TOS items to change hands in the Heritage July 16 - 18, 2021 event included an Orange BioHazard Hood from the 1st Season episode "The Naked Time", which witnessed a final price of $4,500, and a pair of Leonard Nimoy worn "Spock" prosthetic Vulcan Ear Tips which sold for $5,750. This auction also featured over 30 beautiful matte paintings and concept oil paintings spanning Star Trek: TNG through Star Trek: Enterprise as well as some of the Trek feature films, which realized final prices ranging from $475 to $18,750.
