Below are a pair of newly released preview clips from the 12th Star Trek feature film, "Star Trek Into Darkness"; scheduled to debut in North American theaters on May 17, 2013.
The first clip shows Spock engaged at the heart of a ready-to-erupt volcano, and presents some familiar TOS character exclamations and even a highly memorable quote from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
The second clip shows Kirk and crew in a shuttle making a narrow escape from what appears to be a redesigned Klingon battlecruiser, and features some TOS-like humorous interplay between the main cast.
The initial reaction to the film after its World Premiere in Australia is that it is a worthy successor to the 2009 effort - with plenty of fast paced action/adventure and stunning special effects.
