Below are some images of a small costume piece worn by the lovely actress Nancy Kovack in her highly memorable role as the Kahn-ut-tu woman Nona of the Hill People tribe on the planet Neural in the 2nd season TOS episode "A Private Little War" (first airdate: Feb. 2, 1968). This decoration, which is one of a pair of matching pieces used in the episode, was included as part of a collection of unidentified Bill Theiss costumes that I acquired in the past year. Another costume in this set has since been identified and presented in an October, 2013 article on this site as a TOS Yonadan Guard Robe from the 3rd season episode "For the World Is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky" at this link: http://www.startrekpropauthority.com/2013/10/tos-yonadan-guard-robes-from-for-world.html . Some screen captures of Nancy Kovack wearing this costume piece along with its twin attached to a band encircling her upper left arm are seen following the modern day images. The orientation of the decorations are reversed when they are seen in a latter part of the episode after their initial appearance in the opening scenes.
