Star Trek: Voyager Alien Impulse Engine Component

Presented below are some detailed photos of a screen used metal and acrylic handheld prop featured in the 7th season Star Trek: Voyager episode "Renaissance Man" (first airdate: May 16, 2001). This item was described as a part of an alien impulse engine and has a cylindrical design with asymmetrical handles on both sides, as well as working internal lights. Separate buttons on its aluminum cap activate a continuous purple light within its central acrylic surrounded core tube, and also control a working strobe LED near the top of the cap which flashes the colors red and green in sequence. This prop measures approx. 15.5" x 6" x 3.5". Some photos that highlight its appearance in "Renaissance Man" are shown after the modern day images ...













This prop is also adorned with a faded but recognizable Star Trek: Enterprise style graphical application; which suggests it quite likely was used in an episode of that series after appearing on Voyager...
