Below are some photos of an unusual yet noteworthy Star Trek production artifact: an approximate 13" x 12" section of black velvet curtain with embedded silver foil / glitter used to simulate the star field of deep space as seen through the U.S.S. Enterprise D Ten Forward observation windows and other locations aboard ship on Star Trek: TNG (Paramount, 1987-1994). This prop truly allows one to better appreciate the theoretical physics concept of "the fabric of space" :)
