This Ambassador class starship filming model, measuring 41 inches long by 26 inches wide, made its first appearance in Star Trek episodic television as the U.S.S. Enterprise - C in the Next Generation production "Yesterday's Enterprise". It was extensively refurbished for future use and presently bears the markings of the U.S.S. Yamaguchi NCC-26510. This model sold as Lot Number 694 in the Christies 40th Anniversary Star Trek action with a presale estimate of $8,000 - $12,000; and realized a final price of $48,000. The $576,000 Star Trek Collectible - U.S.S. Enterprise D at Christies
The most expensive piece of Star Trek memorabilia ever sold was the Enterprise D filming miniature built for the Star Trek: The Next Generation television series. As lot 712 in the Christies 40th Anniversary Star Trek auction with a pre-sale estimate of $25,000 - $35,000; the 78" x 59" x 14" model created by Industrial Light and Magic realized a final sales price of $576,000 including buyers premium.
