Some Rare Star Trek: The Original Series Bridge Behind-The-Scenes Photos

Here are some rarely seen behind-the-scenes Bridge images taken during TOS production. They are followed by a few episode screenshots that present the Bridge from different perspectives.

This overhead clapboard view was taken during the filming of "The Galileo Seven" ...

In the photograph below, one can see how a special overhead floodlight has been positioned to better illuminate the actors in the scene. Also, because of the distance separating the cast, two overhead microphones are employed for proper sound capture...

In this image from a deleted scene filmed for "The Cage", a large portion of what will later be employed as the Laser Cannon targetting scope is seen originally mounted as a Bridge prop...

The following photo demonstrates how the TOS Bridge Set was ingeniously constructed as a series of removable sections that could be repositioned as needed during production to facilitate the placement of camera and lighting equipment ...

A clapboard photo of Mr. Spock at his Library Computer station ...

A beachball is filmed as a color and light reference device ...

Actor James Doohan studying his script in the Captain's Chair ...

The actors depart the soundstage at the end of the filming day ...
