Abrams Star Trek XI U.S.S. Enterprise

The new U.S.S. Enterprise starship design seen in the Abrams movie was actually a series of 3D digital models created by Industrial Light & Magic. The professional model effects shop The FX Company, along with Quantum Mechanix, developed a 34 inch long physical model to mirror in precise detail the appearance of the computer-generated version. It is on public display along with many screen used props and costumes from Star Trek XI at the famous Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood.
