A rare and lengthy interview featuring Star Trek: The Original Series stars Deforest Kelley (Dr. McCoy), James Doohan (Scotty) and Walter Koenig (Chekov) from February of 1976 on Tom Snyder's Tomorrow Show. Also featuring Harlan Ellison, the writer of one of the most popular TOS episodes, "The City On The Edge of Forever". This insightful discussion was taped just as The Original Series was soaring to unprecedented levels of worldwide popularity in network syndication, having been translated into dozens of languages and broadcast in over 100 different countries, with the phenomenon of Star Trek conventions just starting to take hold across North America. This interview gives us the rare pleasure of watching Kelley and Doohan engage in extended discussion on their TOS experiences and reflect on the appeal of the series - significant as both men are unfortunately no longer with us today. Deforest Kelley passed away in June of 1999 at the age of 79, and James Doohan in July of 2005 at the age of 85. They were born less than 2 months apart in 1920.
