Some Vulcan Props and Costumes from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Presented below are some detailed photos of several screen used Vulcan props and costumes from the new Star Trek: Strange New Worlds television series, the 8th live action adventure series in the history of the franchise, which is set to premiere on Thursday, May 5, 2022 on Paramount+.  This collection of production material was recently on display in a special Strange New Worlds exhibit at Star Trek: Mission Chicago, a ViacomCBS sponsored fan convention that took place from April 8 - 10, 2022 at the massive McCormick Place center in Chicago, Illinois.   It appears, based on the artwork that accompanies the costumes, that these outfits were created for use by the characters of Spock and T'Pring.  An instantly recognizable prop in this group is a redesigned Vulcan Lirpa, an ancient fan bladed weapon that made its Star Trek debut in the memorable 2nd season TOS episode "Amok Time" (original airdate:  Sept. 15, 1967).

Special thanks to my friends and fellow Star Trek fans T.J. Babinetz and Andy Holt, who attended the Star Trek: Mission Chicago convention, for their very gracious permission to display their detailed photography of this exhibit in this article.    Just click on any of the images below to view an enlarged version ...

A look at the evolution of one of these props or costume accessory pieces from sketch to finished design to usage in what appears to be a planet Vulcan scene featuring Spock and T'Pring ...
